Highmoor

Beautiful hiking trails, approx. 25 km away, for example through the 900m high moor and nature reserve Kaltenbronn. At the Kaltenbronn parking station is a deer reserve, the former grand ducal hunting lodge and a hotel with a refreshment stop. Extensive moors, moor lakes and the special flora with mountain pines, cotton grass, sundew and cranberries make up the charm of this landscape. From the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Tower (984m high) you will have an overwhelming view into the Murg and Rhine valley.

Bikers Welcome

The lion is located in the northern Black Forest and is therefore close to wonderful motorcycle tours. That's why many bikers come to the Löwen to end the day with a good meal after a wonderful tour and to start the next morning strengthened and rested.

For the machines we offer a large covered parking space that cannot be seen from the street.

Are you more of a comfortable, scenic cyclist who likes to take a break from time to time and treat yourself to a small isotonic wheat beer during the tour? Or rather the daredevil, the mountain biker who goes full throttle over hill and dale?

Anyway, both are absolutely right here! Because in recent years a lot has happened in the surrounding area when it comes to cycling. The well-paved, flat cycle paths in Nagold on one side and Teinach valley on the other make it possible to drive for kilometers in the face of the Nagold River and enjoy the landscape.

For the mountain bikers, with the large differences in altitude and the many forests around Schönbronn in the direction of Altensteig, we also have all the natural prerequisites for a demanding tour of various levels of difficulty. In addition, it is a short hop by bike to Bad-Teinach, where you will already find a very well-connected mountain bike network.
